Concept2 BikeErg

CONCEPT2AMAZON.COM
$1,040.00
The BikeErg was designed with traditional cyclists in mind. Now if you're wondering if the BikeErg still delivers a killer workout, the answer is a resounding, YES!
Concept 2 builds very durable and effective equipment like Model D Rower (which is by far my favorite,) and now the company has applied those principles to a bike. The BikeErg isn't the most aesthetically pleasing design, but it is made to take a beating and keep on going.
We have over 1M meters on the one that we’ve been testing for a few years and it still performs like it did on day one without any maintenance. Now that’s special.
YOSUDA Indoor Cycling Bike
YOSUDAAMAZON.COM
$284.99
The YOSUDA. Haven't you heard of it? That's probably because the company only makes exercise bikes. This is a super quiet, belt-driven bike that won't drown out the TV while you're getting in your afternoon workout.
Overall, the YOSUDA is a good bike with a killer 30-day full refund guarantee and 1-year free parts replacement warranty. While this bike is definitely made with the budget-conscious in mind, it’s also one of the most highly rated on Amazon with over 700 reviews and 4.3/5 stars as of this writing.
Assault AirBike Elite
ASSAULT FITNESSAMAZON.COM
$1,299.00
Just when you thought the Assault AirBike couldn't get any better, they go and upgrade! Think, the same super solid design and features of the original AirBike just more... elite
Honestly, there isn’t a huge difference in terms of function between the Elite and original Assault AirBike, but the frame on the Elite is much heavier and it’s an overall better bike, albeit at a significantly higher price.
The Assault AirBike Elite does offer a much more comfortable ride than its less elite brother, so your backside may thank you for upgrading (your wallet, on the other hand, may not).

Marcy Recumbent Exercise Bike
amazon.com
$199.99
$159.99 (20% off)
Overall, recumbent bikes (i.e. options where you can recline while you ride) are a great low-impact option, especially for those doing rehab or who have spine issues, Kanski says. This one from Marcy has eight different resistance levels that are easily adjustable by the turn of a knob and weighted pedals for better control of your feet.

Rave Review: "We received the bike three days ago and it took less than an hour for me and my 12 year old to put it together, and I am not that handy. I was impressed with the quality since the price was one of the lowest I've seen. The bike is easy to move around, quiet, very sturdy and offers a great workout, especially if you do interval training (no/low tension and then high tension)."

Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Bike: Best Air Cycle

Price: £451 | Buy now from Amazon

If you’ve never used an air cycle like the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne before then it’s quite tricky to imagine just how hard a workout it can provide. The design allows for infinite levels of resistance – the harder you push the handles and drive the pedals, the tougher it becomes. As a result if you jump on and go hell for leather you might well find that you’re falling off the saddle gasping for breath after just a minute or two.
You can, of course, take it easier on the bike and enjoy a longer, steady workout that hits the legs and arms and improves your cardio fitness, but the design of the Airdyne is especially well suited to HIIT sessions, because you can get a savagely effective workout done on it in just 10 to 20 minutes if you push yourself in the intervals.
There are foot pegs on the front of the machine that don’t drive the fan, which means you can pop your feet on them and power the Airdyne using your upper body only – a handy extra feature for those who worry that a home exercise bike will only work their legs. The console on the machine is pretty basic but provides the key information like time, distance and calories burned. Trust us when we say you’ll be impressed at how fast the last number rises.
Key specs – Size: 117 x 64 x 127cm (LWH); Resistance: Air; Max user weight: 113kg
